Brothers Seek Student Government Seats
The University of Texas at Austin has been known to foster some great leaders. It is great when a university can prepare these leaders with student government positions to help them realize their potential.

Austin is a great city and holds many opportunities for its residents. This will also include community service opportunities as well. There is no need for picking up trash on the side of the road and volunteering at a soup kitchen. This semester, some actives volunteered at the Austin Marathon attempting to keep runners hydrated.
Last semester, the Eta chapter reintroduced the Sweetheart program with much success. The sweethearts were very enthusiastic about contributing to the fraternity in any way they could. This included cheering brothers on at intermural sports, attending Delta Sig events, and even helping with recruitment.
Every year, Sigma Chi Fraternity throws their annual boxing tournament Fight Night. All male organizations typically send in representatives to box on their behalf. The last known Delta Sig to fight was Tim Gardner in 1985, until this year at least.
Every year, every chapter is encouraged to do as much community service as they can as we have seen through pledgeship. Well, the Eta chapter didn’t want to do the traditional clothing drive, food bank, or picking up trash along the road as great as these acts of community service are. The chapter wanted to do something a little different and, believe it or not, this all started a year ago.
